Opinion is a flitting thing,
But truth outlasts the Sun--
If we cannot own them both--

What this poem means to me is that even if it is extremely hard you must tell he truth because in the end it will be way better than getting burned and losing everything, you hold dear to you which is what you risk when telling a lie.The way I believe this is applied in society is that people always think that you can get away with little white lies but you should know someone is bound to find out eventually plus if you have your own opinion on things you should be able to express it and not have to worry what other people think because it is your own opinion. Unless it is offensive to other people then your should keep to yourself because you have have common sense.

Sorry it took me so long to reply to your post. That's cool that you're into sports, I enjoy sports but since I didn't start doing any sports till I was older I'm not really that good at them. What are your favourite sports to play? I really enjoy reading, My favourite books are The Hunger Games, Uglies, Rainbow Boys and Speak. I want to start reading some classic literature though once I have more time on my hands.
